Mark Radford was born in Plymouth. He moved to Weymouth at the age of 4 and his early experiences of working with wood came from the time he spent with his Grandfather who was a traditional boat builder.

Mark was trained by furniture designer John Varley, a former Parnham College student. Mark then went on to setup Mark Radford Ltd in 1993. His workshop is in the village of Abbotsbury near Weymouth in Dorset. His customers are from across the country.
